A Boston area singer/guitarist, Chuck performs solo and with his band, The Butler Frogs and has opened for touring bands America, The Wallflowers, and The Gin Blossoms. He was also a founding member of Northern Point (2005–2010), an acoustic trio from the NY/NJ area that released three albums (November, Northern Point: Live at St. James’ Gate, and After The Frost). In 2016, Chuck founded and hosted the award-winning podcast “Above The Basement — Boston Music and Conversation” which won a 2020 Boston Music Award for Podcast/Radio Show of the Year. After 200 episodes, Chuck shuttered the podcast and set out on his solo musical endeavor. He currently performs in the New England area and is always on the lookout for the lost songs that have influenced him over the years.

John “Fitz” Fitzsimmons sings classic pub songs, timeless Celtic melodies, irreverent sing-a-longs, and some of the best, most eclectic, and sometimes just-plain-old-fun music and vocal harmonies you’ll ever hear. Fitz and his music partner of many years, harmonica wizard Hatrack Gallagher, are an award-winning staple of the New England folk music scene and between them have a repertoire of hundreds of traditional folk, country blues, classic rock, Celtic, and original songs that make every show fun and homey. Seth Connelly is a one-man band, just singing along with his guitar. A master of his craft. A guitarist and singer/songwriter who first picked up a ukulele at four then a guitar at six — Seth has shared the stage with bands and members of America, Little Feat, Roy Buchanan, Orleans, Jonathan Edwards, Judy Collins, and the Pousette-Dart Band. He’s been performing in the New England area all his life and has worked on recordings as an engineer and producer for 25 years in his own studio and other studios throughout New England. He plays solo, in duos, in trios and is regularly invited to sit in with bands and recording clients who are traveling through the area, accompanying them on a multitude of string instruments, piano, percussion, and more.

Lindsay Straw and Ben Truboff (“Almost Grown-Ups”) have immersed themselves in acoustic roots music for many years. As members of the Boston-based band “The New Grown-Ups,” tonight’s performers have appeared at many festivals and venues throughout the region. Mastering both bouzouki, and finger-style guitar, Lindsay has turned her efforts towards flat-picking. In addition to being a multi-instrumentalist, Ben focuses on powerful guitar solos and seamless singing. Their repertoire includes old cowboy, blues, and folk ballads and they perform an extensive collection of old ballads, folk songs, and fiddle tunes. Together they weave duo harmony singing, tight instrumentals, and flashy guitar playing into a fun show.

Tomoko Iwamoto & Gypsy Electro

Tomoko Iwamoto, “jazzy” violinist, has been in Boston jazz scene for more than 30 years. She is a band leader of “440 Gypsy Jazz Quartet,” presenting her virtuoso violin performing skills and creative arrangements and compositions in gypsy jazz style. On her recent European tour, she performed at the Django Festival Portugal in Lisbon. Craig Ball, swing clarinet player — leader of the White Heat Swing Orchestra — noted, “Tomoko is the best violinist in the area I’ve ever heard.” Her new project “Gypsy Electro” presents modern interpretations of traditional gypsy jazz tunes, featuring acclaimed gypsy jazz guitarist, Bruno Peterson and popularly demanded bassist, Greg Toro.

Molly Flannery & Anna Callahan

Molly Flannery and Anna Callahan are playful, accomplished musicians who love jazz and Brazilian standards and the freedom of improvisation. Molly is a pianist, composer, arranger and band leader.  Starting her performing career in Japan, she settled in Boston in the mid-80s. She was the keyboard player for Cosmos Factor, a popular world beat dance band and headlined the Molly Flannery Quintet which played in a variety of venues including The Willow, The Western Front, The 1359 Club, and Ryles. She released her first CD in 1999, her second in 2004. Her third album appeared in 2022, featuring  Haley Isadora on voice and explored more Brazilian music as well as originals and jazz standards. Anna is a vocalist, trumpet player, arranger, and composer. She wrote a book on arranging for collegiate a cappella and performed in Los Angeles clubs and has released two CDs, in addition to scoring a dozen short films.
